How this site makes money

It doesn't. Not today. Here's the full accounting, and what we'll do the day that changes.

What we earn from this site

Nothing. As of 6 August 2026, Seek Mover carries no advertising, no affiliate links, no sponsored listings and no paid placement. We take no commission on any job booked through a number found here, because no booking passes through us in the first place. No mover has paid us anything, and none has been offered the chance to.

We are saying this on a page of its own rather than in a footer line, because “how is this free?” is a fair question and most directories answer it vaguely.

Where the listings come from

All 64 listings were compiled from public Google Maps business data: company name, category, address, city, phone number, website, star rating, review count and the photos each business published on its own profile. We did not write descriptions for them, score them, or sort them by anything other than review count. Our method sets out every step.

Listings are unclaimed and unverified

  • No mover on this site has claimed their listing. There is no claim process yet. Every entry is admin-managed and none has been edited by the business it describes.
  • We have not verified these businesses. No site visits, no licence or insurance checks, no reference calls. A listing here means we found a public Google profile with a working phone number, and nothing more.
  • Ratings are Google’s, not ours. Copied without adjustment, and a snapshot from the day we compiled them. 14 of the 64 have no reviews at all, and we show that plainly rather than hiding those listings.

How movers are ordered

Review count first, then rating. That rule is applied identically on every page of the site. There is no editorial hand on it, no featured tier, and no position that can be bought. If a mover is at the top of a page, it is because more people reviewed them on Google — which is a measure of volume, not of quality. We go into that distinction here.

What happens if that changes

A directory this size may eventually need to cover its own costs. If we ever introduce advertising, affiliate links, sponsored placement or a paid tier, we will:

  1. Update this page before it goes live, not after.
  2. Label every paid unit on the page it appears on, in plain words, not a grey badge.
  3. Keep paid placement out of the ranking. A sponsored listing will be marked and separate, never mixed into an order that looks organic.

Until any of that is true, this page will keep saying zero, because that is what it is.
