Office relocation services
Moving a workplace is a scheduling problem before it is a lifting problem. Here is every mover we list, with a number that rings their office.
What makes an office move different
The furniture is the easy part. What separates an office move from a house move is everything around it: building access windows, a server or comms cabinet that can’t be down during business hours, IT equipment that needs decommissioning and reconnecting, and a landlord at the old address expecting the space back in a particular state.
Most commercial buildings in Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya restrict goods-lift access to evenings or weekends and require a permit from building management. That, not the mover’s calendar, usually sets your date.
What to nail down before you book
- The access window at both ends. Get it in writing from both building managements before you agree a moving date with anyone.
- Who handles IT. Some movers disconnect and reconnect; some will only carry the boxes. Ask directly, because the gap between those two answers is a day of downtime.
- Insurance and liability. Ask what cover applies to equipment in transit and what the claim process actually is.
- Phased or single-shot. Larger offices often move in phases over a weekend. Say which you want up front — it changes the crew size and the quote.
- Reinstatement at the old unit. Stripping partitions and making good is usually a separate trade, not part of the moving quote.
