How we source and show every listing
The whole method, in the order we do it. If you want to know why a mover appears here, or why their rating looks the way it does, this page is the answer.
Five steps, start to finish
There is no editorial panel and no scoring model behind this site. It is a small, repeatable process, and these are all of its steps.

We collect from public Google Maps listings
Every mover here was found in Google Maps business data for Malaysian moving companies. Name, category, address, city, phone, website, rating, review count and the photos the business published itself. We add nothing to that.

We keep only what we can stand behind
We keep listings that are active and have a working phone number, because a listing you can't call is not a listing. We drop international and cross-border relocation companies — this directory is domestic moves only. That leaves the 64 you see.
- 03
We group neighbourhoods into regions
Google files these movers by neighbourhood — 22 distinct ones across the directory. Nobody searches for "movers in Bayan Lepas", so we fold localities into the 12 regions people do search for. The mapping is fixed and applied identically everywhere on the site.

We host the photos ourselves
Listing photos are copied to our own storage so the page still loads if the original moves or disappears. They are the mover's own images, uncropped and unretouched. If a business wants theirs removed, we remove them.

We show ratings exactly as they are
No rounding, no adjustment, no minimum threshold to appear. 50 of the 64 listings carry Google reviews and 14 carry none — and the 14 are displayed just as prominently, marked "no reviews yet".
What “no reviews yet” means, and why we print it
It means the mover’s Google listing has no public reviews on it. That is the entire claim. It doesn’t mean they are new, bad, or unverified beyond what is already true of every listing here.
Directories usually deal with this by hiding the listing, sorting it to the bottom of a page nobody reaches, or showing a row of grey stars that reads as a low score. We print the words instead. A visitor who sees 14 honest blanks out of 64 knows what our data is worth. A visitor who sees 64 confident-looking ratings does not.
What we deliberately don’t claim
- We have not vetted these companies. No site visits, no licence checks, no reference calls. We are a directory of public data, not an accreditation body.
- No listing is claimed. None of the movers here has verified or edited their entry — there is no self-serve claim flow yet, and until there is we won’t imply otherwise.
- We can’t filter by service or lorry size. Those fields exist in our database and are empty, because Google never published them. An empty field is not a filter, so we don’t offer one.
- Ratings are a snapshot. They were correct when we compiled them and will drift. The mover’s own Google listing is always the current version.
Corrections
If a listing has the wrong number, the wrong city, a photo that isn’t theirs, or belongs to a business that has closed, emailhello@seekmover.com and we will correct or remove it. That applies whether you are the mover or a customer who noticed.
